According to authorities,Ā 54-year-old Yvette ThurstonĀ has beenĀ charged with first-degree aggravated batteryĀ andĀ three counts of felony child abuseĀ after surveillance footage allegedly captured her violently attackingĀ little baby Clay Weeks.
Clay, who had just been dropped off for his first day, wasĀ rushed to a nearby hospitalĀ for evaluation immediately after the horrifying incident. While investigators confirm they have reviewed the shocking video, it hasĀ not yet been released to the public.
What has left parents across the community outraged is the fact that Thurston was granted aĀ bond of just $44,000āand she has alreadyĀ bonded out of Decatur County Jail.
